After Dinner Cricket Speaker - Peter Bowler
Peter spent twenty years on the professional cricket circuit representing Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Somerset and Tasmania. An opening batsman, he spent most of those twenty years evading some of the world’s fastest bowlers, not always
successfully. Having said that he did manage to hit a few, and scored just under 20,000 runs in first-class cricket including 45 centuries and was England’s top run scorer in 1992.
Peter retired at the end of the 2004 season aged 41, county crickets elder statesman , to take up a career in corporate law and now works as a legal consultant.
His extremely funny personal cricketing anecdotes are taken from a life spent as a professional cricketer in which he captained Somerset for two seasons and even discovered Australian Captain
Ricky Ponting, coaching him for three years.
Peter is ideal for cricket and golf club dinners, corporate events where he entertains the audience
with his take on life and professional sport and is rapidly establishing himself as an extremely
humourous and entertaining speaker , well received by both male and mixed audiences.
